Executive Director

Tableland Services, Inc., the Community Action Agency serving Somerset County in Pennsylvania, seeks a talented, empathic, and collaborative individual to lead the organization as Executive Director.

Founded in 1966, the mission of Tableland is to help people and change lives in Somerset County through community action. Tableland’s vision is to have a community free of poverty, educated and self-sufficient where everyone has a voice and achieves their potential. Tableland does this by providing a wide variety of services, including early childhood education, transportation, weatherization, employment and training, food, housing, and income tax assistance. With a dedicated and committed staff of 120 and an engaged 15-person board, the agency has a $7-million operating budget with healthy cash reserves and is positioned strategically to grow their reach over the next 10 years.

Tableland’s board seeks an empathic, strategic, and resourceful leader. With a strong business sense, the person must embrace the mission, represent Tableland to internal and external constituencies effectively, and manage a high-performing team. The individual must have strong nonprofit executive experience and appreciate complexity.
